This is a short review of the book, “The Getaway”. This is the 12th book in the Wimpy Kid series of books. The publisher is Treehouse Books. The author is Jeff Kinney.
I enjoy reading the “Diary of a Wimpy kid” series of books as I find them funny. The illustrations in the book inspire me to create new drawings of my own. The main characters of this book are Greg, Manny and Rodrick.
A summary: finally it’s the Christmas holidays! Greg wants to stay home and play video games. But his parents find it too cold where they live. So they decide to visit a tropical island. However, Greg doesn’t have much fun.
I found this book interesting because it showed lots of tropical animals and I have always been fond of them. I would recommend this book to kids who are fond of comics.
